Kathy Ross, Biodiversity and the Relationship between Birds, Insects & Native Plants

May 3 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

FREE

As you may know, 2018 has been declared the “Year of the Bird”, by National Geographic, along with the National Audubon Society, BirdLife International and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Its purpose is to celebrate the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act passed in 1918 to protect birds from wanton killing.

BACC is proud to announce that Kathy Ross, an expert on biodiversity,  will be presenting a program on birds and their interaction with native plants at BACC on Thursday May 3rd at 5pm.

Kathy is a Bigfork landscaper and longtime Board member of the Flathead Audubon and will be sharing her experience of 26 years working in the Flathead Valley, around and with our native plant communities.  Kathy will reflect on the importance of biodiversity and the special relationship between native plants, insects and birds in our local environments.
